Students explore education pathways to health careers by touring health care facilities and hearing presentations given by community health professionals, medical students and residents. The academy helps students prepare for admission to health career programs with American College Testing (ACT) study, college application and resume building and service learning with a goal of helping students understand the social determinants of health in our communities. Students who complete the academy can earn four college credits though WNMU’s Dual Enrollment program. Academy admission is free, space is limited and admission is based on a selection matrix. Meals are provided.
