History: The CSAPC was founded in 2015 by the Cibola County government then was transferred to the Future Foundation Family Center, and finally joined the CHI Team in 2019. Our coalition is an environmental and policy change prevention program which focuses on the reduction of underage drinking, binge drinking, as well as prevention of misuse/abuse of prescription pain killers among youth and adults in Cibola County. Our coalition collects county-wide data and uses this data to raise awareness of the local issues. The CSAPC works with local police departments on a regular basis to plan enforcement activities, as well as collects and reviews valuable data on enforcement efforts and results. The coalition patrtners also work with local school districts to present prevention programs to students, their families, and staff. Our Coalition members are involved in a variety of prevention activities. Although our activities impact the entire community, our primary target population is those ages 12 to 18 year old and 18 to 40 years old.
