The nation could be short as many as 120,000 physicians by 2030, and only 4.6% percent of current medical school graduates are Hispanic or Latinos. SoAHEC supports a pipeline program to recruit a diverse workforce and encourage physicians to enter shortage specialties and to practice in underserved communities.
